This is a 2010 Martin GPCPA-1, in excellent fully original condition. The original finish on the spruce top shows some minor scuff marks and some insignificant nicks and dings. The rosewood back and sides are in equally nice condition. This model features gold-plated tuners, abalone in-lays, abalone rosette ring, and abalone dot inserts in the bridge pins.

Martin has since put these electronics (with model appropriate images) in several guitars, but the ones in this GPCPA1 are Fishman. There's a little pick wear around the treble side of the sound hole near the pickguard, as seen in the close-up of that area. The neck is straight, the string action is low, and the guitar plays and sounds great.

The fingerboard width is 1 11/16-inches at the stringnut. The 6th string height at the 12th fret is 4/64 of an inch, and the 1st string height is 3/64-inch. This guitar has string action comparable to most electric guitars.

This fine Martin guitar weighs 4 pounds, 3.1 ounces, which is fairly light considering the added weight of the built-in electronics. It comes in its original Martin hard-shell case. This guitar features the depth of sound that Martin's are known for, yet it has a brightness similar to the higher-end Taylors. This is Martin's best foot forward to capture some of that Taylor market back. Acoustically, this guitar is louder than most Taylors, and when played through a good amp, all the tonal nuisances of a Martin really shine through.
