A staple in the Iberia series, the C5-CE features a solid Canadian cedar top and mahogany back and sides. The construction is based upon the traditional Spanish classical guitar with the exception of a soft cutaway and a slightly thinner neck. Handmade in the traditional Spanish style, the C5-CE also features an all wood inlaid rosette, rosewood binding, hand-carved headstock, fan bracing system, and bone nut and saddle.

The combination of the solid cedar top with mahogany back and sides gives the C5-CE a warm, round sound. The guitar had a minor bridge repair (re-glue) by an Authorized Technician. It is hardly noticeable and does not affect the guitars tone, play-ability or structural integrity in any way. It also has a few small dings on the top and some white haze in some of the finish. Otherwise, it is in near mint condition played for testing purposes only. The guitars are sent there for many reasons, including: cosmetic flaws, minor repairs, surplus & discontinued or last years models. The guitars are given a new serial number and the back of the headstock is lightly stamped "used" or "2nd" by the authorized refurbishing center.
