This is my'pre-logo' Eastman AR 610 CE, archtop. This guitar was produced very early in the life of 610s and like all the others, was hand-crafted at Eastman's Beijing workshops. If you know these guitars, this one needs little introduction but in case you don't, here are some details.
Body size at lower bout: 17 "Body Depth: 3.125" Scale length: 25 "Nut: 1.75". Finish: Violin finish, nitrocellulose lacquer type. Materials: Solid bookmatched hand-carved fine grain spruce top; hand-carved AAA tiger flame hand-carved maple back and sides; 3 piece tiger flame maple neck; solid ebony fingerboard; ebony truss rod cover; 7-ply body binding; 3-ply neck and peghead binding; solid bone nut. Lyre Byrdland tailpiece which later models don't have. Gold Imperial style 16X1 tuners; adjustable ebony bridge. This guitar is extremely playable and has rich bass and fine treble. When I bought this in a small shop in Beijing, it had a small split in the lower back and had been poorly kept. The back was repaired by the Eastman factory in Beijing (free of charge) and since then it has been well cared for. There are a couple of minor dings, which I have shown in the pics and the binding is no longer white but uniform yellowed, which in my view give this lovely instrument a sense of age and character. The instrument is advertised elsewhere and so I reserve the right to close this listing if necessary.
