Ibanez MSC650VV1201 MONTAGE SERIES HYBRID CUTAWAY ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC GUITAR

Up for sale is a terrific hybrid Acoustic Electric guitar from Ibanez.... I have always wanted one of these as I've always loved their beautiful look and also thought that its hybrid nature, as well as its extra features were very intriguing! Alas, I feel this guitar might be a little bit too much for me.

The onboard overdrive / distortion, with 2 settings accessible via a 5-way toggle switch on the upper bout, is OK. Nothing to write home about, and I don't think its compelling enough to leave my electric guitar at home when I go to a gig. The chorus effect is not that strong... I wouldn't leave my chorus pedal at home, either. As for the reverb and phase reverse functions, I don't even know if I can figure out how to get them to work!

There is plenty of other tonal and versatile functionality available on this guitar, however. Like the onboard tuner and 2 notch filter controls.

But as a straight up ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC and ESPECIALLY as a straight up ACOUSTIC, the Montage is WELL WORTH the price of admission, imho! This guitar plays well, first of all, comparable to most acoustics in its price range.

Same goes for when it's plugged in..... It gives you the quality sound that you would expect from an acoustic electric. You can be confident taking this to a Sunday worship service, for example.

What I really like about this Ibanez Montage is how it sounds unplugged! It is so rich, sparkly and huge sounding! I don't know if I would take it busking at the beach or a bonfire. But I would definitely feel good just mic'ing it up while playing live with it!

As stated in the condition description, a n. Ice Hard Shell case is included with this listing. It's pretty well worn on the outside, but the inside is still in excellent shape....
